there are so many tragedies we are facing....immigrants being held in “camps”... mass shootings...aid for victims of hurricanes tornadoes and flooding. And all our leaders and representatives are concerned with is getting re-elected. It is so defeating.

Places where there are strictor gun laws have proven more crime and violence. A criminal will always get a weapon if they want one but a citizen will be left with no protection

Not true. In Australia we had a mass shooting at port Arthur many many years ago and since gun laws changed, we've not seen another mass shooting.
