How about getting the House back to Washington and having a vote? You people work bankers hours. There is NO way families and businesses should have to wait any longer for relief from disasters.

I don’t understand how one republican stopped this vote in the House? I assume this will be overcome with some procedural votes next week but why didn’t they just do these procedural votes today and finish?

It passed the senate 85-8 and just got to the house today. EVERY OTHER REP voted for it but
@RepChipRoy . Almost unanimous agreeement in both houses. This was a good bill to help Americans who really need it. Stalled for no good reason! -
Had Pelosi called for a roll-call vote before sending everyone home, Roy could have voted no and it still would have passed. Instead, she waited until she sent everyone home and then tried to get a non-vote "unanimous consent". He wants it to deal with the border crisis.
