From this gay man’s perspective. It’s great that this act passed the house, but it has no chance in hell of passing the Senate or being signed by Trump. I’d rather the house focus on impeachment.
For too long, conversations surrounding America’s LGBTQ community have focused on “tolerance.”
But tolerance is a condescending word.

It's affirmation of the Democratic Party's thought out policy on the subject. We need to get rid of McConnell and then this will become a reality. I'm not a gay man but I'm a fair man, and I'd like this one of many yokes to be taken off our citizens

Trump, Pence, McConnell need to ALL GO!! The only way to do that, decidedly vote them out...THAT must be our focus. All money and focus HERE. Everything else is secondary...will come when they are gone. Impeachment won't get through Senate and only gets rid of one person.

and while it's not getting rid of that one person because of the Senate, it's firing up his base. I would suggest the only positive in starting proceedings is they wouldn't have to fight through the courts for documents that would automatically come to them; and that's very big

Look, I appreciate the things you are doing. I support the policies you are fighting for. But, honestly, Democratic leadership isn't doing enough to fight back against the current regime in the White House. Could you, maybe, at least make it look like you're trying to fight?

The Equality Act is necessary and I support it 100%. However, with Mitch blocking all bills in the senate, this will just sit until...when? 2020? With all due respect, Mme Speaker, I disagree with your stance on impeachment. He is worse than ever.
