Once again I decry the public admiration for celebrity & fame & wealth is destroying this country. It has exposed a level of greed unseen in previous generations. No disrespect to Michelle but her support & voice have no further importance than any other citizen, pandering.

I hear what you say - however is not about Michelle, it's about taking advantage of her famous image to bring attention to the fact. It's sad though, that society needs to have a rich, famous "reference", model or whatever you wanna call it, in order to pay attention.
-
Agreed but you must admit that we shouldn't need celebrity to bring attention to things in the past, were considered very important on their own.

Admitted.

Michelle Williams is a national treasure, a portrait of grace and one of our finest actors. She was the central character in that film and carried it. Amazing she would be paid peanuts while Wahlberg got 1.5 million for several minutes on screen.
-
This is her agent’s fault. The studio would have paid more for her services if they really needed her. Her agent is the person that values her client’s talent so little.
-
This argument is so ignorant. Should a WNBA player make the same wage as an NBA player? They do the same thing. It’s all about how much money you generate. Wahlberg generates more than Michelle Williams, therefore he should get more.

But from what was reported, Williams and her agent signed an unfavorable agreement.

The GOP will not have the balls to pass such. The Republican party has become a party of egoistic Reps. They care more about themselves than the people they represent.

You are right, that bill will go now where fast, regressions is the name of the game for the GOP. All the want to do increase the gap and their white women are doing worse than any Black person on average. All money printed since 1970's is in hands of 10%.https://twitter.com/BlackXFTP1/status/1113202987516579840 …

Or you could just do what men do and put it all on the line to get what you think you deserve. I know it sounds scary but we’ve been doing it forever. Government wasn’t created to put unfair regulations on business owners.

This is ridiculous. Do you want to tell me that she has the same worth as Mark Wahlberg? Do people q to see her movies ... I don't think so

I saw that Mark Walburg donated the fee he got to the defense fund. I agree equal pay for equal work. But there are too many times where a man and woman have the exact same position and one is doing way more work than the other. There has to be restrictions put in place.
-
I worked a job where I had the same position as a female coworker, and she made $18 more per hour.... same title, same responsibilities, but I had to do all the heavy lifting while she was busy looking for fossils..... ( not work related )
