Nancy, The Republican Party pioneered the right of women to vote and was consistent in its support throughout the long campaign for acceptance. It was the first major party to advocate equal rights for women and the principle of equal pay for equal work.

Yes Nancy When the “Republican” Party regained control of Congress in 1919, the Equal Suffrage Amendment finally passed due to republican House & republican Senate. When Amendment submitted to states, 26 of the 36 states that ratified it had Republican leaders

I was a teenager in early ‘60’s when the right to vote hinged upon memorization of full pages of an encyclopedia; etc! Consequently I vote anytime the polls are open! One group’s marginalization over another is wrong on any decade!!@hickoryhill8520
