No child should be denied a loving home because the family that wishes to adopt them is LGBTQ or a religious minority. The Trump Admin must deny states’ unconstitutional waiver requests & make sure child welfare stays at the heart of our state child welfare systems.
Don’t be so dramatic. It’s not easy for “normal” couples to adopt. Make it easier on them. It will be better for the kids in the long run to have a chance to grow up in the proper environment. Want kids? Make one. If you can’t, you should have the first option.

1) Donna, please take an American civics class if you are, in fact, an American citizen. The Bible is not a legal document. The U.S. Constitution is, among 50 state constitutions, federal, state and local statutes and court rulings.
2) America was founded —and the Revolution was fought — by people who wanted to be free to practice or not practice the religions of anyone else.
3) What you call the “Bible” is a book made up of many different documents written by many people over 500 years. What you call the Old Testament was written in Ancient Hebrew; the New Testament in Aramaic & Greek. Unless you speak those tongues, you’re not a Biblical authority.
When I was teaching two lovely men adopted FOUR siblings. Then, when mother had another, they adopted this one, too. Some had special needs. No one else wanted them and these men saved their lives.
If anybody, regardless of their background (LGBTQ/religion/marital status) wants to adopt, more power to them! BTW, my wife and I are the very proud adoptive parents of two beautiful young ladies!!!
Thank you. Foster and adoptive parents face many hurdles for the good of the kids they serve, but bigotry should not be part of the process. If a family is willing and qualified to do the work of parenting, they deserve that opportunity. Love is what matters.
Only 59% of eligible children are adopted. That number will increase. These people only judge others, they don’t practice the teachings of JC.
All children also have the right to be adopted by Blood Related Family Members Senator! So Why did the State of California give my Great-Nephew to Strangers instead of placing him with family??? They Never Tried Contacting Us. And I doubt he even knows that we exist!!!
