Why do you need to use her race as a marking point? In 2019 race is not an issue. Intelligence and the opportunity to use it are. Mentioning her race is a hand down not a hand up.

Unfortunately I remember. I say that for this reason. What would be the response if a "(insert any other race, especially white) history month were ever proposed? It would be the most atrocious thing ever. Let's recognize accomplishments as individuals, not race or sex.
