@SpeakerPelosi, please, please continue to hold firm in the shutdown and the wall. Our democracy depends on it.

How does our democracy depend on it?

Yes, human rights not to have illegals flowing into our country. People can still come in, but they need to use the "door" of immigration.

People are welcomed into this country. They need to come into this country legally! We are a country of laws and processes. Illegal immigration causes chaos and costs tax payers millions of dollars.
-
There needs to be a better path to citizenship and these people would gladly come legally. When it takes 8 years to bring your 18 yr old brother over and the country is so dangerous he won't make it that long... you find another way. A walk won't stop anyone from saving family.

Russia has announced plans to set up its first ever military base in the Caribbean after striking a deal with cash-strapped

Wtf are you talking about? We have over 80 sanctions, basically war, band on medication and other resources on Venezuela. That's gross on so many fronts. Also, our military budget eclipses Russia, and we have military bases in most countries across the globe.
#empire -
The sanctions are against corrupt politicians/drug lords. They also prevent the government to borrow more money, but they can't even pay all they borrowed when the oil price was up. Also, the crisis (inflation, shortages, etc) started way before the US imposed the first sanction
-
uh huh. Not the least bit true. The sanctions affect the poor the most and prevent the government from using its own money, like say the gold it has in the UK.
-
That's new, and it's not even a sanction, it's because they recognize Guaido as the legitimate president so they won't allow Maduro to use Venezuelan assets. Now regarding sanctions, could you please name one that prevents the government from using their money?
-
Venezuela has 2.5 billion dollars withheld in international banks as a result of US sanctions. This money would be used to import medicines and food.

We don’t need to worry about Venezuela while politicians hold their own fed work force hostage for political enjoyment.

We have enough problems in our homeland to continue sticking our noses in places we shouldn’t be. Politicians can’t correct their own & fail in protecting citizens interests. Why worry of other countries when our public is first? We worry about our citizens first & not of others.

yes, but the US behaves as though it was divinely appointed to violate the sovereigntybof any Latin American country.
