I think you first should take down your wall around your house before tell the rest of the US Citizens that we do not need a wall. What is with you elected people in Washington. We pay your salary so do what we want or get out.

The Speaker IS doing her job. The majority of American citizens are opposed to the wall.

You don’t speak for literally ANYONE I know! Everyone I personally know is for a more thorough and impenetrable barrier between ports of entry.

So you have bad friends. That doesn’t prove anything :) It’s pretty clear from the past election that trump lost his mandate. Polling backs it up and says support for the wall is low. That’s why trump lost the house, that’s why he can be blocked now. The trumplicans lost.

It occurs to me that Republicans won in the Senate. I suppose by your logic, that must mean there is a pretty substantial amount of support for those Republican Senators, who are in support of the more thorough border barrier. Not to mention those who patrol the border.....

You understand that most Americans don't live in those empty states, right? The Senate does not represent the majority of Americans, only the majority of states. We understand completely why Republicans are against real democracy.

Those states aren’t empty. That is precisely why our founding fathers agreed that lest our government be ruled by mobs who rule by sheer population imbalance in more highly populated states, each state is represented with electoral votes based on individual state population.

So you’re saying that the founders always understood that there would be weaker less successful states that couldn’t attract people to live there, who would need outsized federal power to get the support they need? Man, that sure sounds like they had socialist concerns.

Hey, I’ve got an idea. Why don’t you do your job of leading the House and legislating instead of being a leader of pointless resistance. You’ve got a wall around your house, why doesn’t the US deserve the same security. BTW, it’s not all a “wall”, it’s comprehensive security.

The issue is funding border security which is NOT in the bill. Pelosi has been very clear on that.

they agreed on funding CBP, they didn’t agree on the wall. Wall is not going to cover the whole border but only a part of 2kmiles that are mainly private property. Engineers have repeatedly said wall in not doable because of terrain and weather conditions that would collapse it.

No one is arguing that we build the Great Wall of China. Certain areas rely on terrain to impede entry and use technology to detect intrusion. But, saying barriers are “immoral” is pure nonsense. Just look at Jim Acosta’s recent live report.

So let me get this straight you want to delay the state of the union until the government reopens because you’re concerned about your security priceless and embarrassing

She disinvited Trump as his security- the secret service - isn’t being paid. She is at work everyday, and completely unafraid. Secret service doesn’t provide security at the Capital

She shouldn’t be getting paid. No balanced budget should equal no pay for congress.

Ok, but don’t forget to also invite some of the many victims of gun violence to tell their stories.
