Our legislation reopens government services, ensures workers get the paychecks they’ve earned & restores certainty to the lives of the American people.

The President is using the
#TrumpShutdown to try to force an expensive & ineffective wall upon the American people, but Democrats have offered two bills which separate the arguments over the wall from the government shutdown.Show this thread -
It would be the height of irresponsibility & political cynicism for Senate Republicans to now reject the same legislation they have already supported.

Once the Senate passes this legislation and puts us on a path to reopening government, the President must come to his senses and immediately sign it into law.

I'm being to lose all faith in Washington, aren't you tweeting from Hawaii? While federal employees work without pay, thanks for nothing. Next time congress should be forced to do their job w/o pay. Not go on break while fed employees wait for u to do your job
-
She has no job until Jan 3. It was Ryan’s Congress, and he adjourned it. I definitely agree with you that Congress should not get paid during a shutdown,
-
Have you noticed that Trump and his supporters have no concept of government, law and how it works? I think that is the problem!
-
Really umm Nancy state is being taken over by drug addicts criminals and illegals what about America citizens what about people waiting years to become citizens the right way what about the illegals killing people they were for wall in 2012 2006

Hey how was Hawaii? I hear its a great time to go during a government shutdown.!
-
She’s not speaker yet. Maybe should check on Paul Ryan?
-
Also Tony (great name by the way), they did have a deal and the President reneged on the bipartisan deal to keep the government funded until Feb 8th.
-
It's amazing that Trump said he would shut down the government 20+ times, that the senate (including Republicans) agreed on an ext., but Trump said no and now blames democrats. How does that work?

Haven’t you been in Hawaii all week

-
So?
Congress isn't in session.
@NancyPelosi is not currently Speaker of the House.
@SpeakerRyan and@senatemajldr McConnell could've called Congress back into session but chose not to do so.
The minority party can't bring any bills to the floor anyways.
