General Mattis was a comfort to many who were concerned about the path the Trump Admin would choose to take. His resignation letter is defined by statements of principle — principles that drove him to leave the Administration. All of us should be concerned at this time.

I’m having a tough time seeing why pulling out of a useless destructive war is a bad thing and I don’t think Democrats should be against that.

I can answer that question if you really want an answer. A lot of us would like to leave but not abruptly, without a plan and abandoning our allies, like the Kurds who have fought with us, on our behalf and died helping us. That IS a bad thing and I am against that.
