Republicans have already said they do not want to take away pre-existing conditions. Why do you Dems think the ACA is good for people. I mean it’s so good you want to mandate individuals to participate or tax them if they make a personal choice to not participate.

1. Because it does way more than that such as eliminating lifetime caps and guarantees ppl with preexisting conditions can be covered; 2. As part of the social contract we all pay for things we may not want or use...fire stations, police departments, the military, this is same

Yeah, do that. It works great. You walk in, flash your card and pay absolutely nothing. There are some things you may wait for (non-essentials) but I had a family member diagnosed with cancer and operated on within a couple of weeks. Healthy and cancer free now.
