Why should the taxpayers fund college for those who don't need the support? I'm all for helping out the less fortunate, if they have shown scholastic aptitude, but I don't support free college for rich people's kids.

Rich people’s kids go to private colleges. No one is suggesting that those be made free

Most rich people are, by nature, greedy. If it's free, they'll take advantage of it. Again, I'm all for helping those who need help, but disagree with a blanket free college policy.

I’m a native Californian, and when I was growing up, the UC system, and the state college system were FREE. Some wealthy kids attended, but mostly these schools educated the then thriving vast middle/lower middle class, with excellent results.

When I went to college in the 70s, in Georgia, it wasn't free, but it was very inexpensive. I could afford to pay my way on a part-time minimum wage job. I think this is how it should be. Individuals need to invest in themselves, if they can, not get handouts.

Well sure, very low cost college would be okay, if it were a couple of thousand bucks a year max, but college age kids, unless they have rich parents, cannot afford the current cost of college tuition for even a UC school, which now costs $35K/year!!

We need FINGERPRINT SCANNERS No more excuses about VOTER SUPPRESSION. Dem will no longer be able to use the excuses that it’s to hard for people of color to fill out a one page for to get an ID. All you would do is go to your local PD, Bank or Library & completely free
