We welcome the presence of these activists, and we strongly urge the Capitol Police to allow them to continue to organize and participate in our democracy.

.@Ocasio2018 Pay attention. This is how it's done.
-
It literally took Ocasio and these activists to nudge Pelosi into doing something about climate policy.
-
Not good enough. Has Pelosi been championing a Green New Deal & urging fellow corporate Dems to divest from fossil fuel donors? No. Pelosi is still a fossil fuel hungry corporatist. All platitudes & little or no action. Real substance will speak louder than statements.

He must think we're toddlers, since redirection works so well for them. I would also like to point out that Pelosi represents California. You know, the state everyone else loves to hate because of the extensive environmental regulations. We're not perfect, but we're trying.

The time for handling climate change with kid gloves is over Nancy. AOC is showing you how to fight. Step out of your office and learn how it’s done.
-
AOC is providing a media gift to the Republicans by allowing them to divide and conquer. She needs to do some learning and listening and to understand how to get what she wants done in a constructive way.
-
Before AOC it was the Democrats that were doing the conquering? We both know that’s not true. AOC is trying to show dems how to fight instead of just going along with damaging republican polices. It’s time for us to wake up & resist
-
AOC is a rookie who just got called up to the big leagues. She showed up to the stadium on game day, took off her uniform, put on her street clothes, and went into the stands to heckle her own team. I definitely see Hall of Fame in her future

-
Her Team? AOC heckling Fossil Fuel (or just plain Fossil) Pelosi because of Climate Change may be the only thing that moves Ms Powerful to do something! We lose on Climate Change and there's no 'we'll get em next game.'
-
This is also from 2009. Try to keep up indeed. Jesus.

Thank you @NancyPelosi for being so gracious. But those of us who bother to do our homework (unlike @Ocasio2018) know that you already planned to reinstate this committee before this protest stunt. @Ocasio2018 could learn a great deal from you but instead chooses to be divisive.
-
We don’t need to reinstate a committee that would result in half measures and attempt to work across the aisle. We need a green new deal by 2020. The world is on fire and we don’t have time for anymore incrementalism
-
If they can’t work across the aisle, NOTHING gets done. It’s so easy to say you want something, but a lot harder to accomplish it. The fallout from 2016 (and other elections when people stayed home) continues.
-
Democrats are not going to get anything accomplished in the senate. What they can do is pass bold, progressive agendas in the house, which will be shot down by the senate AND Trump, and use it against the republicans in 2020. Bipartisanship WILL NOT WORK ANYMORE.
-
But I thought we couldn’t wait two more years to start getting things done?
-
Would you rather have someone looking for bipartisan support in a party that is controlled by Trump, or someone actually introducing something bold in an effort to, oh I don’t know, save the fucking planet.
-
It only saves the planet if it passes, no?
-
If the dems pass bold policy in the house, which the majority of the American want, and the republicans reject it in the senate in 2019, the dems can scream from the rooftops that the republicans are directly contributing to the slow deaths of the entire planet.
