I understand that, but he backed down too early on DACA, being led to believe he would have another chance. He can’t do that again. They need to stop being so nice. The GOP is out for blood. They aren’t playing fair. We can’t act like if we are civil they will be. They will not.

He’s the minority leader. There was an opportunity to get DACA taken care of, but he backed down because he was afraid to shut down the government for too long. McConnell promised he would bring DACA back for a vote, but he never did. It wasn’t hard to figure out he wouldn’t.

Nancy, with all due respect the Dems need to step up and show their faces...I am a lifetime Dem and if Obama wasn't so conciliatory to the GOP maybe things would be better...Get some new and invigorating blood out there and lets show a strong united force

I agree with this and your assessment of the Obama administration. Bipartisanship is only effective if both parties have the good of the country as their objective. There is no evidence that the GOP has had anything other than self interest as their primary focus since Goldwater.
