The cake shop also refused to make a "nondescript" cake for the gay couple... It's not that the baker refused with the design of the cake (which your comment implies) but rather the gayness of the customers. That's discrimination.
-
Why were they trying to force them to make ANY cake? Just go to a different bakery. Try the Muslim owned bakery down the street. I wouldn't eat a cake I forced a baker to make.

Do business with people that want your kind of business. I'm not gonna go into a Jewish Deli and demand they make me a ham sammich. I have more respect for their beliefs than that, for one. I'll just go to Bubba's Deli down the street. He will gladly fix me a ham sammich.

The Choice Of A Business To Deny A Client should never be taken away. What If This We're A Same-Sex Couple's Bake Shop That Exclusively Made Cakes For Same-Sex Weddings and denied a Cake to a Male/Female Wedding...Outrage For That Wouldn't Exist. Drop Double Standards!

I absolutely do not agree. The Civil Rts. Com. of CO were hostile 2 the baker's religious beliefs & were, therefore, biased in their decision. The baker was not discriminating as he offered 2 bake them any other kind of cake except one that infringed upon his freedom of religion

Nancy, As a gay man.. Please reread your statement with the Christian in mind. You will see this ruling will not force a Christian to go against his religious beliefs. The Christian will still serve us any other time. Tolerance is a two way street.

Nancy as a gay man I have to agree with this outcome. Even though it is a really stupid business move and stubbornly short minded he can choose to not make a cake. We can't force him to do that. Now, just don't support his business or beliefs
-
He already makes cakes. No one is trying to force him to do something off-menu. Not all gay couples live in big cities where they have multiple wedding vendor options.

My point is we can't fight and demand equality for LGBTQ if we are not willing to give others the same. Equality is equal for ALL. I don't agree with the business owner's views but he has his and I have mine
