Didn’t Obama’s administration adopt that policy? I mean it started when he was in office before Trump even announced he was going to run. So how is it Trump’s fault now? Blame Obama, where it started

No. Obamas treatment of children was not good. But it was not deliberate. The children that arrived where not accompanied by their parents. Trump has chosen to deliberately separate legal asylum seekers from their children as a deterrent effort to keep others from coming.
-
You are very mistaken on this. It did happen under his administration. It began there this is a fact. Look back at the archives that can be found easily. Just like the pictures of children inside is holding cells like dogs. From 2014 proven under Obama. FACT
-
Only the separation from legally entering asylum seekers for purpose of deterrence is new.
-
It is the same policy that’s been in place for years. Nothing new
-
Then please explain to me why initially Trump/Sessions/Kelley claimed it as a new means of deterrence prior to deciding it was not going to be popular & walking it back. If nothing has changed, why was Nielsen unable to provide the teaching protocols as requested by Sen. Harris?

How many are you taking to your house.
-
A house is not a country. I don't think Nancy Pelosi has a personal asylum policy. Why are you opposed to following the laws of our country which allow a process for asylum seekers which this man was following?
-
Obama wrote that policy and the kids were sent to homes where they could be properly cared for. Why didn’t they claim asylum in Mexico. They found a way to travel the entire country.
-
What diff does that make?
-
Just more tax dollars /

The United States is obliged to recognize valid claims for asylum under the 1951 Convention Relating to the Status of Refugees and its 1967 Protocol.

-
Valid is the key - if it is legal, no problem. Trump will clean up the mess, again!

Last year Mexico received 3,044 applications for asylum, and ONLY approved 789, compared to the 70,000 refugees who were admitted to the U.S by the Obama administration. Mexico doesn't accept as many refugees as the US because they’re smart! Democrats in USA are the stupid ones!

ILLEGAL ALIENS know they will be SEPARATED & prey upon people's emotions. It was NOT TRUMP'S POLICY. DO YOUR HOMEWORK. As far as escaping violence, people in this country would love to move from some of their neighborhoods for the same reason. How about focusing on them?
-
We were ALL created equal regardless of color, gender or financial status or location! You, who beat your chests and condemn those who are legally seeking asylum, will have to meet your maker on judgement day. I wonder what excuse you will have then!

-
Bless you Nancy for being their voice. Praying this nightmare is over soon.
