    These are comprehensive and necessary reforms that will strengthen the Massachusetts health care system. I am grateful to Leader , who has been instrumental in reforming health care in Massachusetts, including our landmark 2012 law.

    Importantly, this legislation creates an independent agency for the statewide certification and oversight of law enforcement officers as well as removes qualified immunity for any individual who is decertified as a law enforcement officer.

    This year Massachusetts made investments prioritizing health, safety and economic security. Without federal action it will be difficult next year for states to protect the most vulnerable among us and insulate the economy. Congress must act.

    The House today reaffirmed its long-standing commitment to protecting reproductive rights in Massachusetts under threat by changes in the makeup of the Supreme Court. The House acted to keep intact those provisions in Massachusetts that safeguard reproductive choices for all.
