If you're not familiar w/Sparkler, we're an anthology magazine of Female Gaze fiction. Serialized chapters of a bunch of series once a month

Subscribers to our magazine: lovely people who pay ~$5 per month to download the issues + extra bonuses, which pays our creators' advances.

When people buy a Sparkler magazine subscription, that money pays our creators & staff, and we can then post the content online for free!

Many of you are familiar with the free side of our site: webcomics and webfiction that only exists because our members paid for the magazine

You can buy a magazine subscription OR our ebooks and paperbacks through the Kickstarter--all money that helps fund our next year!

Our staff and creators are ~90% female and nonbinary. We pay advances. We've always aimed to be the change we wanted in the comics industry.

We've run for four years, and we're proud of who we've hired, what we've put out, and what we're doing for the climate around comics.

In addition, our editors have been dedicated to putting out fiction that's fun, exciting, engrossing, and especially appealing to women.

But, as always, Sparkler can't continue unless enough people pay for it. Our memberships sagged a bit this year, unfortunately.

$25K sounds like a high goal to some, but this is funding 12 serial anthologies over a year, employing over a dozen people. Efficient! :D
