I have absolutely no problem with infant baptism
so long as their first words are: “I repent of my sins and trust in Jesus Christ alone.”

Their argument would be that infant baptism brings infants into the 'covenant' and under the nurture of the Lord. I can see how they come to their conclusions ie. from the households being baptized in Acts etc. although I do not concur.

Yes. But that argumenr fails. I concur with youe nonconcurence. It doesn't bring the infant into the covenant. And the argument that it does devalues the covenant making it no better than the old one. See Hebrews 8.

Why are you ignoring the fact that infants were brought into the Old Covenant (circumcision)?
