    Departing Poole Harbour by BOAC Short S.25 Sunderland flying boat. G-AGHZ was delivered to BOAC in 1943 and wore a camouflage scheme during the war. It was sold to Aquila Airways in January 1949 so this dates it to 1945-48.

    This seems like an unfortunate way to have framed the story on Singapore's reopening given that the PM announced the next day there was no turning back, and that quarantine-free travel was being expanded to the US and most large European countries.
