is what the industry needed. When you want so few the unit cost of production is prohibitive - but the ability to make a prototype that is essentially a finished product - that is a gamechanger.

Aimed at kids, this overview does a really good job of showing how far off we are in reality from a fairly safe crewed trip to . I've get see convincing theoretical solutions, let alone actual practical engineering designs.

OTD 31 Jan 1961 a chimp, named Ham, was trained to pull levers in response to flashing lights during a spaceflight. He carried out several actions as he travelled at 5,000 mph (8,000 km/h) at 155 miles (250 km) above the Earth returning safely.

The huge was constructed in parts mostly by that 'little' vehicle the - dwarfed by the sized new monsters in this comparison image. Dead-lifting complete craft etc into space needs vast power but we did prove that doesn't have to be the case

Suspended animation may be needed in Space journey's. A version of it was achieved in 2019. I have a question - Human cells make up only 43% of the body's total cell count. The rest are microscopic colonists. We may be put on hold, but what about them?

OTD 2004 Rover landed. Its last message June 10, 2018. It gave us evidence that long ago at least one area of Mars stayed wet for an extended period & conditions could have been suitable for sustaining microbial life. Still no proof yet.

During our project to 3D scan the Command Module Columbia, we had the chance to observe and record handwritten notes and markings in areas of the spacecraft that had been hidden from view for more than 40 years:
