Standing down today due to a standard ground system auto abort at T-1 min. Rocket and payload are in good health—teams are working towards tomorrow’s backup launch opportunity at 4:14 p.m. EDT, or 20:14 UTC.

I haven’t seen specifics, but what that likely indicates is that the Falcon 9’s on-board computers detected an issue with ground systems at T -59secs and halted the countdown. It basically means that the cause of the scrub was on the ground side, and not on the rocket.

        "Standard... auto abort" hmmm really?

My exact same question. What’s a “standard” abort? In my years working Shuttle ascent every abort was different. No abort is standard except for a boat getting in the way.

They are qualifying these for manned use, they should be passing on a bit more info, in my opinion. Especially if they want more public trust. So today the computer called for an abort, but nobody is saying why the computer decided to do that.

Yep. If they don’t know they need to say they don’t know and are troubleshooting. Not that it’s “standard” and basically everything’s normal. NASA would NEVER do this. And I know this because I worked console for 8 years on 2 spacecraft.

It might be just policy to not give out specifics. I would do the same.

Thats where we disagree, since they want to put NASA astronauts on this rocket.

I'm quite certain NASA knows, I just mean the public doesn't need to know specifics. It doesn't really benefit or change anything. I'm not necessarily agreeing with it, I guess my point is I just know it's policy in a lot of places to say things like this.

I agree with you, but disagree with @SpaceX's silence. They take alot of public dollars in contracts and intend to take more. They in my opinion owe the public a little more openness.
