Will the boosters land back?
-
No. Weather is insane in the east. Waves are too high. They won’t be recovering the boosters like they had hoped.
-
I guess , in the last launch also the landing was skipped...!
-
The last launch had a old booster. It was a block 3 or 4. They have block 5s and so there’s no reason to recover old tech.
-
oh! i see....

Will we see the booster come back to earth?
-
The winds in that region where too strong, so they are doing a mock landing, it will almost certaintly get destroyed, and they usually do not post videos of things expected to fail, and even if it succeeds, that will not do much good unfortunately.
-
Thank you. What happens to the 2nd stage after the satelite was deployed? Does it stay in orbit as space junk?
-
Good question, I would imagine not, but it might, I do not know enough about this type of a launch, if it does, it will probably eventually come back down to earth, due to a very very slight atmosphere still there, things like the ISS need to reboost, but idk.
-
Thanks. I wonder how much junk is floating around up there!
-
There are views of that I think, of the trackable bits, these are orbitting nuch faster than a bullet, so sometimes even a paint chip can become a bit of an issue, spacex plans on potentially cleaning large space debris with its bfr rocket.

That's so cool. I hope they have a camera on it. I'd watch that for hours!
