The first passenger will be a billionaire? No way that was completely unexpected

What was unexpected was that he paid for his seat plus 8 additional seats for everyday artists to join.

I retract the former comment -
I hope my reply didn’t come across as being rude or condescending. Intent or emotions of tweets are hard to decipher sometime. My reply was just a normal chit chat reply. I need to use more happy faces with my replies so they don’t sound harsh.

Yes, space is reserved for the billionaire class.
-
Not for long

Someone’s gotta be first. Why not someone who can afford to pay for the endeavor?

And he’s taking 6-8 artists with him!

What is he, a buck ten? No wonder they chose him, minimal payload
-
Actually
@elonmusk was talking about how they didn't choose MZ, he chose them, stepping forward with the money and a sense of adventure and willingness to take on the danger. (The BFR seats ~100 and only ~12 passengers are going, so payload isn't as constrained as it could be.)pic.twitter.com/fPrXXJDfjz
-
Why would they waste that much space?
-
It’s a super risky and dangerous mission and they feel it is unwise to pack it to the gills both because of the risk of loss of life and they want extra capacity for spare parts, food, oxygen, water etc to maximize the possibility of a safe return home in the event of issues

Just hope the engineers and navigation people lay off the weed while they are doing the math.....
-
You can’t smonk the weed on the job at Tesla, figure it’s no different in SpaceX of all places.

They're being a troll. Don't give in to their sweet song.
