I'm thinking you're going to have to wait till the next time Mars is very close to send a spaceship with people to it

it gets close every 26 months. i think they said they wanna send 2 unmanned crafts in 2022, and then 3 more unmanned and 2 manned in 2024.

Is that the down range reentry burn in the background of the second picture?
-
Time lapse still photo
-
Yep the second time lapse shows a faint vertical streak near the horizon. Which would equate to 60-80km altitude down range.pic.twitter.com/NbRT9EHPay

Great eye that's really cool

-
Ya, very cool, but why is there no 2nd stage trail?
-
Hence the question if this was reentry or something else. Need an expert
-
I can see all of it. Look very closely in the yellowpic.twitter.com/laHe5lWGsc

Really cool you can see the landing burn of the booster in the distance of the long exposure photograph! Incredible stuff.
-
It's actually the reentry burn, you couldn't see the landing burn because of the curve of the Earth that far away

Believe what you want. But I know the Earth is round so take this elsewhere

How do you make the picture like that, is it a lot of them layered on top of eachother as the rocket progresses?
-
That’s a long exposure shot maybe.
