    has confirmed the breakup of COSMOS-1408 (INTLDES 1982-092A, SCC 13552), which occurred on NOV 15, 2021. Tracking 1,500 possible associated pieces – analysis is ongoing.

    On Monday, 7 June, starting at 1900UTC, all space-track websites will be temporarily unavailable for up to 4 hours of maintenance. The 18th Space Control Squadron will continue spaceflight safety screenings and resolve any high priority events directly.

    can confirm Chinese re-entered over the Arabian Peninsula at approximately 10:15 pm EDT on May 8. It is unknown if the debris impacted land or water.

    Yes, we know that the TIP coords (lat 22.2, long 50.0) plot in Saudi Arabia. That was the last place that the computer system recorded it. Operators confirm that the rocket actually went into the Indian Ocean north of the Maldives. We just report the data, folks!

    Spoke with the team. We have indications the 🚀 is down. Once they get radar confirmation of nothing in orbit (after 0300UTC) they will release the final message with time. Y’all can stop hiding in your bunkers.

    New update by : Reentry: 9 may 02:11 UTC ± 1 hour Reentry is inminent. Very similar to last prediction, but with center of reentry window further west. 90% of this track is over ocean.

    Space-Track is temporarily suspending new account creation. All relevant re-entry information is displayed on the login page, so there is no need to log in to see more. We will continue to post TIPs to the login page and Twitter/Facebook as we receive them.

    Notice the uncertainty window of +/- 60 minutes. At 7.8 km/s, just 1 minute early/late in the time of reentry = 470 km difference in the final location. This a PREDICTION, not an exact measurement. will not know the precise location until AFTER it has already landed.
