Do you think there’s intermittent tracking because of the waters they have to go through and might have to lay low at some points?

Ms. Chief's tracker has always had problems reporting position. I used to think the crew were switching it off but that doesn't seem to be the problem I don't know enough to explain but the tracker seems to struggle to report to satellites when offshore so updates come in rarely

This may be a dumb question, but is there enough time (in your educated opinion) to get back, off load, and run to the Starlink LZ? Or do you think since the ships split initially the plan is for Ms. Tree to retrieve both halves from the water like Ms. Chief did for SAOCOM-1B?

Did they recover the 2 fairing yesterday?

We'll find out when they get to port. SpaceX didn't say.

AIS tracking usually done thru VHF freq, if boat ant not high enough, bad ant or cable it will have trouble reaching land based towers. I'm sure SpaceX has sat pos reporting, but expensive & doesn't share data with world.
