I feel like a lot of young people are sold on the childless life as some sort of luxurious hedonist’s dream but the reality looks a lot more like a more stressful desk job, a leased bmw, and being the burdensome lonely old bat your family feels obligated to invite to parties https://twitter.com/tootorboot/status/995758596624470021 …

People who lease should all be hanged tbh
-
Leasing is honestly not a bad move unless you literally pay full, in cash for something around 3-7 years old
-
What's ur rationale; at the end of a lease you don't have any equity in the vehicle
-
You give it back and get a brand new one. As long as you have payments you're still "renting" the car. Like i said in the other tweet, cars are appliances, not capital goods like property
-
You're going to end up paying more by treating them as appliances without equity than property with equity long term dude
-
It's like saying a mortgage is just renting a house it really isn't you're building equity.
-
There's a place between capital goods that appreciate and appliance. A car is still worth several thousand dollars in resale after you pay it off, whereas a lease is not compensated by anything. The math doesn't work unless you absolutely have to have a new car.
-
In which case you're fucking retarded. There's really only two things to do with cars: >Buy something a few years old like you mentioned before >Buy a semi-reliable beater and run it into the ground, repeat indefinitely. I'd opt for the former personally.
