    UK easier to work as L, than say China, but only because level of struggle low. Once insurgency occurs, as in North of Ireland, then UK has state death squads like any caudillo And yes young Lefts, revolutionary socialists absolutely supported IRA, INLA

    No, history was Pinochet's Allende is a good example of what could happen when you try and implement a programme like Corbyn's without disarming - literally - your capitalist opponents

    Damn, I just endorsed what he said the other day about 'how the Left was foolish to do much of its discussion through Facebook & another Indymedia is needed'. One of the extremely few 'names' I have any time for & likewise 'anarchism', the only good political trend save communism

    I have wondered whether CCP leaders actually consider themselves, er, communists. Putting Sneevliet on a banknote - heroic Dutch ex Trot murdered by Nazis (also active in Indonesia) - suggests, bizarrely, they may. But their party is the Chinese Capitalist Party

    Hv wondered if Chinese CPers think they're red or just odd ritual. Bt as put martyr Sneevliet on banknote recently..

    Interesting essay on how capitalism has caused 'the age of pandemics', e.g. fast-urbanising West Africans have lost former staple of fish from diet due to the 'market' & so now eat much more & riskier bush-meat

    The BBC was never 'supposed' to hold power to account. It was created by establishment power. It *is* power.
