I knew I couldn’t afford to take out a student loan and wanted a skill set so I enlisted. I earned my GI Bill and benefits with my honorable discharge from the USMC; no one forced me to sign the line. I went to good college and earned my degree with an even better skill set.

No. They are people that can't afford to send their own kids to college and yet will be expected to pay for someone else's law degree while working in a factory.

True! They have been sold this bag of rocks that you need to go to this expensive school and get a liberal arts degree and wonder why they can afford to pay off their debt!

I’m one of those people against
#CancelStudentDebt because I paid off $66,000 last week in only 4 years of diligently working at a middle income job. -
Congrats man, you were able to get yourself together and pay off your student loans. Respect to you. A lot of other Americans aren’t able. And before the inevitable “responsibility” retort, remember we as a nation bailed out Wall St & the automakers.

I graduated in 2008. My degree cost more than $15,000 total...at a state school. I paid my student loans off. I AM NOT willing to pay off anyone else’s college debt with my hard-earned money.
