Sound Transit - πŸš† 🚈 πŸšβ€™s posts

Tomorrow's Link commute just got a whole lot easier. It's back to regular service tomorrow--no more transfers at Pioneer Square. Trains running every 10 minutes at peak instead of 8 minutes tomorrow only. Tuesday we'll be fully back to normal. Thanks for all your patience!

No one in this photo took up any road space, they all got here faster than those who did, and another full train is only 6 mins away ❀️️🚊πŸ’ͺ🏻

With the possibility of freezing rain in the forecast, we'll be running trains all night to keep the Link system clear of ice. Crews will work hard to keep station platforms and other public areas clear - but please be cautious, as there may still be icy patches out there. #WaWx

The weather may not be improving yet but our headways are! Link trains are now running every ten minutes. If you must travel, light rail is running reliably this morning. Stay safe!

It’s amazing to consider that over the next three years, we’ll be opening 25 more @SoundTransit light rail stations in cities across the region, including Bellevue, Redmond, Shoreline, Lynnwood, Kent & Federal Way. #ToNorthgateAndBeyond #Link21

While the 1 Line is the best way to get around traffic, internal combustion-powered vehicles are not allowed ON trains. If you see anything amiss on board or at your station, please text the Security Desk at 206-398-5268.

What on earth 🧐 @SoundTransit You can bring your motorbike on board? I mean I’d rather have that than a meth user but still

Folks, seeing a lot of questions on this. If it helps, the individual is not a transit security officer. Also, confirming Washington is an open-carry state. For any security concerns, please be sure to call or text our security team 24/7 at 206.398.5268.

If you'reΒ riding Link next week, keep an eye on the digital signage at our stations. From May 9-15, you may see us testing our new Passenger Information System (PIMS), the system that will provide passengers with accurate real-time arrival dataΒ and out-of-service train info πŸš†

We’re excited to tell you about changes we’re bringing to Link this year to improve your riding experience. We are investing in a number of ways to welcome people back to the system as we see ridership climbing above pre-pandemic levels. 🧡

Things are looking up with elevators and escalators. ⬆️ We’ve made great strides to ensure that vertical conveyances are available when you need them. Escalators are running at about 92% overall availability now. That’s still short of our goal of 95%, but we’re getting close.

Sean, please return to your regular duties. All of the new 24 cans on the downtown tunnel station platforms have been installed and bolted down. Thanks to our partners and the crews who got them out over the weekend!

I have now independently verified that every @SoundTransit trash can (that I could find) is bolted to the ground. (Thank you to all those who prettended they didn't see a guy shaking cans. πŸ—‘) twitter.com/Seabiker98101/…

Three years ago today we celebrated opening new 🚈 stations at Capitol Hill and the University of Washington. Today these two stations serve nearly 20,000 riders a day! Cheers to everyone who has embraced U Link! Can't wait to connect 22 new stations over the next 5 years!

Welcome to the future of transportation! It’s great to see our region coming closer together, with more connections, quicker trips and a greener way to get around. We’re just getting started, but for now, welcome U District, Roosevelt and Northgate! #Link21

Great to see our new end-of-line train cleaning crews starting out today! They’ll initially be working day shifts Monday-Friday, but we’re trying to staff up to expand those hours and days.
