Sound Transit - ๐Ÿš† ๐Ÿšˆ ๐Ÿšโ€™s Tweets

We've gotten questions about whether bikers will be able to connect from the Interurban trail to the Lynnwood Transit Center. The answer is yes. The trail will blend with the fire lane, so you can continue up 48th to the bus loop. Here's a map to show the route.

We're planning to open the new garage at the Lynnwood Transit Center on Monday! It will provide 1,670 spaces for current transit riders and future Link riders. We're opening the garage before light rail service to allow for work around the station site to be completed.

There is still no service between Northgate and Roosevelt stations. A bus bridge is in place for passengers traveling between the stations. We anticipate this disruption will last for a while so passengers should allow for extra travel time. Our apologies for the inconvenience.

Link is not running between Roosevelt and Northgate while police investigate a suspicious package at Northgate. A bus bridge between stations is being set up for passengers.

Link is one of your best options to get to the cherry blossoms at the University of Washington. The U District station is the closest, but the University of Washington Station is a lovely walk or roll too. Skip parking and take the train! ow.ly/7zHG50NCTWm

While the 1 Line is the best way to get around traffic, internal combustion-powered vehicles are not allowed ON trains. If you see anything amiss on board or at your station, please text the Security Desk at 206-398-5268.

Congratulations to the City of Bellevue on its 70th anniversary of incorporation. We were honored to join our partner to celebrate the milestone and help open the plaza outside City Hall and the Bellevue Downtown Station.

Passengers should use existing 578 and 594 buses at Second and Jackson stops to get southbound due to cancellation of #1525. We apologize for the inconvenience.

Taking flight! One of a pair of neon hummingbird sculptures by artist Claudia Fitch installed yesterday at the Lynnwood City Center Station. The sculptures are a nod to the restored wetlands near the station and a celebration of the history of neon road signs along Highway 99.

Sean, please return to your regular duties. All of the new 24 cans on the downtown tunnel station platforms have been installed and bolted down. Thanks to our partners and the crews who got them out over the weekend!

I have now independently verified that every @SoundTransit trash can (that I could find) is bolted to the ground. (Thank you to all those who prettended they didn't see a guy shaking cans. ๐Ÿ—‘) twitter.com/Seabiker98101/โ€ฆ

Good news! We were able to get the accident scene cleared and service is now resuming. There may be some residual delays but things should be back to normal soon. Thanks for your patience!

Due to the accident at Dawson St., Link shuttle buses are replacing the 1 Line between Columbia City and Othello. Riders should allow for extra travel time. We don't have an ETA for a return to normal service. We'll keep you posted as we get more info. Thanks for your patience.

Heads up: Link trains are currently turning back at Columbia City and Othello due to a collision between a train and passenger vehicle at Dawson St. First responders are on the scene. More details to follow as we get them but be prepared for delays.

Single tracking on the 1 Line has ended, but we're still experiencing significant residual delays from the accident in the Rainier Valley earlier today. We're working hard to get service back to normal as soon as possible. We appreciate your patience with us this afternoon!

The vehicles have been removed from the tracks in Rainier Valley. Because a downed signal blocks one track, we can only single track when we return to service soon. Only the southbound platform at Columbia City will be available for boarding. Trains will run every 15 minutes.

Be prepared: the service delay between Othello and Columbia City stations is going to last a while. Shuttle buses are replacing Link and ST personnel are on site helping passengers. Plan ahead for extra travel time. Weโ€™ll keep you updated as info becomes available.
