Moving to your target country as a beginner in a language is largely counter productive. You need comprehensible input, heavy dictionary use, and repeat listening. Native speakers are only helpful if they baby you. Online resources are by far more effective.
Well that is true kinda. You still need to look up words. Mass immersion hypothesis in my experience does work, but it's not without study, curated content and focused attention. All of those are easier to do online.
