Def must be some fluctuation. Probably closer to 3k honest, 2k seems like Chinese speakers. Im a Chinese speaker and at 2 years but not quite there yet either. I haven’t had that consistency until recently though. Just tired if the “I learned Japanese in 12 hours” bullshit.
Learning Japanese to fluency takes 2200 hours (US dep of state) for an English native speaker.
1h/day = 6 years
3h/day = 2 years
4h/day = 1.5 years
That's intense.
You need to know what you are getting yourself into. Set expectations correctly.
