I don't have any, the point of that was to say that simply 'inferring' something with no proof is a very bad way of finding out someone's views since they will often be used by people to claim that people secretly have outrageous views.

When it comes to statements by well-known people, then yes unless you have evidence that proves what they say is incorrect, It is, of course, ok to doubt but to just assume that it is all a lie with no proof is not a good way for finding out someone's views.
