'Free Speech' is just a dog whistle for 'Conservatives can say whatever they want and not face even so much as criticism for it'. Why do you think they never speak up about it when leftists are silenced or censored? Maza never called for a flagging campaign.

Also I’ve always spoken up for the speech I disagree with. I want a debate on ideas. I can’t think of any recent mass campaign to silence the left. Maybe the NFL/flag but wasn’t really left/right

Are you high? The NFL flag thing was absolutely politically divided. Conservatives in droves wanted athletes who knelt fired for doing so. I saw shitloads of conservatives demand he be fired. You're being really dishonest to push this "the left is censor happy" narrative.

The left is far more censor happy than the right currently. It was the other way around about a decade ago. Google free speech on campus and tell me the right is the censorious side? The coverage of nfl/flag was politically divided, not the nfl’s support.

Who cares about the NFL's support? That's not the point. The point, was that conservatives supported punishing the athletes for expressing an opinion they didn't like. Conservatives only give a shit about free speech when it suits them. You're just reaffirming that fact.

No, they did not, Most Conservatives support Free Speech for everyone even those they disagree while the Left wants every opinion they disagree with to be banned, This is exactly why you will see that most Conservatives will oppose the Censorship that took place here.

Except for the president of the United States. Elected and supported by most conservatives. He wanted athletes who knelt punished for "disrespecting the flag". But we just ignore that right?

Trump is an exception, I can guarantee that if you go to most Conservatives they will say that he should not be fired for it. I support Trump and I would strongly oppose anyone being banned from expressing their opinion and until Trump actually takes action stopping people...

Conservative support for Trump IS VERY HIGH. Yet they know full well his views on this. If what you say is true then they don't care about this. Thus proving my statement conservatives don't really care about free speech. Only when it suits them.

I oppose the view but I care about action, Unless he takes action to ensure that those he disagrees with are fired then I simply do not mind, If Twitter for example only talked about censoring Conservatives but didn't actually do it then i really wouldn't mind

So you don't care if the president talks about silencing people he disagrees with so long as nothing officially happens? Cool, so you only care about free speech selectively. Thanks for proving my point.

I believe he can say whatever he wants just as i believe the NFL athlete can express his own view, I only want to stop action, If Trump wanted to ban his opponents i would oppose it and in the same sense because Twitter wants to ban Conservatives i oppose it
