Not these people being mad at folks peacefully protesting Kavanaugh's house when abortion providers have had to wear body armor to work, vary routes to their jobs, and hire private security b/c antis would publish their photos, home addresses and phone numbers. With crosshairs!

In order for capitalism to work, you need a permanent underclass of who people work shitty jobs for no or little pay and live shorter, shitty lives, and you need them to pop out babies—babies you've forced them to create and birth—trapped in the same circumstance. Like slavery.

This is a perfect example of a costuming habit which drives me nuts: disregarding drape and fit in favor of contemporary tailoring. Look where the shoulder seams are. Women's clothing used to be MUCH boxier and fit bigger, and period projects of this era rarely reflect it.

Oncologist sent me to ER. One of my chemo drugs likely caused heart damage. I am waiting to be admitted and be seen by a cardiologist. The hospital isn't working anywhere near peak efficiency b/c of—you guessed it— unvaxed covid patients clogging up everything. I hate it here.

This rather savvy usage of the public bully pulpit, in a nutshell, is the argument for continuing to have and televise SOTU. Those men are PISSED. Dark Brandon forced a concession on live television.

After Biden's claim that some Republicans want to end Medicare and Social Security provoked GOP anger, the president responds, "I'm glad to see it, I enjoy conversion." "Social Security and its bookend, Medicare, are off the books now, right?," Biden adds. "We have unanimity!"

Wait, Patriot Act has been cancelled? This is such a shame. Hasan was doing something needed and special, and spoke with such authority and clarity about issues centering South Asians. This sucks.

Honk For Jesus was so layered and clever and smart and it was not appreciated the way it should have been and I'm still mad about it. And maybe the best performance of Regina Hall's career. Just brilliant.

Abortion is not just a "women's issue." It is an economic issue. A class issue. A civil rights issue. A medical privacy issue. A race issue. You cannot just shove it away and hope for the best.

Most people don't see what this kind of courage looks like. They see histrionics from folks who aren't actually oppressed all the time. But Zelensky, who looks mad regular, is like, "pull up then, n—." With Ukrainian Wu Tang Clan around him. Scrappy af. Gotta respect that.

I keep thinking about the trajectory of my life had I been forced to give birth as an ill-equipped, unwilling and poor 21-year-old. I most almost certainly would not be where I am now, but instead economically and professionally hobbled. Which is the whole point of these bills.

How nice for Michael Che never to have been denied the sanctity of his own body because of his gender. How nice for him not to be judged and gaslit repeatedly because it is routine to treat an entire gender and their experiences with disregard and contempt. How lovely for him.

Don't let the misinformed nattering of a few famously intransigent bigots fool you. Historically, Black people and American Jews have been ride-or-dies in the fight for human and civil rights. We know from white supremacy.

Dave once told me, when he started doing more deconstructed shows, that he realized he didn't necessarily have to be funny to hold a crowd in his hand, he just had to be interesting. You'd think an artist who realized that would see it in Hannah Gadsby, who is both.

I would like to see POC writers get this kind of grace and opportunity. I really would. This is basically like Spielberg getting an education in filmmaking on Universal's dime, going over budget and timelines because he was figuring it out as he went along. Must be nice.

Dan is saying that #GameofThrones was basically an expensive film school for he and Dave. For example, they had no idea how to work with costume designers, and it was a huge learning experience.

I know I tweet a lot about how dumb and miserable cancer treatment is (because it is), but I bought roller skates today because I know it's not going to feel like this forever. Wishing all of you whatever your version of roller skates are. 💗

There's something so depressing in seeing how her initial message could be received with such flippancy and callousness. When has Naomi Osaka ever acted in bad faith? What reason would there be *not* to take her seriously?

I really want to read an account of this from the fish's perspective
Quote
FISH DROP: Thousands of fish were dropped from a plane into lakes near Bicknell, Utah July 6. The goal is to restock the lakes, which are only accessible by plane. The Utah Division of Wildlife Resources says, "survival of aerial-stocked fish is incredibly high."

I don't think this is silly at all. First off, trans men who get pregnant also get abortions, and their experiences are perfectly valid. Second, yes, it is in fact last time for cis men to be vocal about the many ways they benefit from abortion.

Cori Bush is one of the few people in Congress who has experienced poverty *this century* and you can see how uncomfortable and downright angry it makes many of her colleagues that she talks about it openly and without shame.
