Content creators should not trust YouTube. You need to build your own databases & email lists of viewers. You can announce your new content confidently and measure response via email. Like a business, treat audience data like it's your number one asset.

Lots of people just like the ease of going to sub boxes & methodically scrolling through the people they’ve followed, when they sit down having decided they want to watch videos. Emails get missed & forgotten. It’s a very valid point but might not fit into peeps YouTube habits.

SAME! My channel doesn't even show up in search anymore. It used to! It's properly "tagged" etc. But channels with 700 subs and 0 videos show up in the top 10 over mine - which isn't there AT ALL

Are they trying to get us to sign up to premium or something. Just wondering why they’d want us to be so motivated to post and be part of their platform
