NEW: Sat down with Chris Paul this morning for a lengthy chat in NYC. He said he found out about the trade via a text message from his 14 year old son. Cited multiple times that that Mat Ishbia and *Isiah Thomas* wanted to go in a different direction.

Paul citing Isiah Thomas as a reason he was moved is interesting, since Ishbia told reporters in February that Thomas has no role with the team.

This interview with Jann Wenner is a grab bag of outrageous, unethical journalist practices that would get almost every reputable journalist fired. Wenner proudly admits to letting sources read and edit interviews before publishing them.

I am utterly confused as to what the offending comment is here and I hope someone can clarify for me.

NEW: From Orlando Magic on donation to Gov. DeSantis Super PAC: "To clarify, this gift was given before Governor DeSantis entered the presidential race.  It was given as a Florida business in support of a Florida governor for the continued prosperity of Central Florida.”

I think I'm officially a playwright. During the most dramatic moment of the play, a phone went off and the audience member took a while to find it.
Link to the story. It's not that hard.

You rarely see a media suspension that is *this* uncalled for. Usually, the reaction is like "Oh, that's an overreaction by the higher ups." But in this case, there is *literally* nothing the broadcaster did wrong.

yes, though i covered a rally in which he accidentally called 9-11 "7/11" - and some supporters spent days trying to convince people that he was actually correct in saying 7/11.
Sometimes I'm on a total different page than everyone else on a show, and for me it's Hijack. I thought it was great. Watched in two days. And now I'm reading how much the internet hates it.

Most theaters - and I assume a place big enough to host a touring production of a Broadway show would do so - would announce at the beginning of the show that recording/taking photos of the show is not allowed.

It's bad enough the terrible aggregators do this. ESPN has professional social media people that run their accounts that should know better.

Can't believe Christie/Ramaswamy are sparring this hard over whether Herro/2 first rounders was a suitable package for Dame.

Yeah, it's really stunning that the Blazers didn't let Dame come back near the end of the offseason. How could they do such a thing?

I had reached out to Vice President Harris's office, because I was curious about her Roman Empire and actually got an answer! It was past deadline though. Her answer per her office - drum roll please - recipes. Apparently spends a lot of time thinking about the NYT cooking app!

The NBA - as a league - was not critical of the donation, saying "We respect the right of members of the NBA family to express their political views." The statement referenced here is from the players union.

We have two dogs we love a lot, but I think about the points raised in this uncomfortable piece a lot. One bioethicist says: "We fail to see them for who they are. We see them for who we think they are, who we want them to be."

The NBA has used its platform to support and champion certain causes - and get news coverage out of it. It is newsworthy to note that several owners - one using the team's name - work to fight the NBA on that.
If one gets past the headline, I found the piece to be a very thorough and interesting look at Short's career.
