black people in this country can't take the threat of police lightly, its intended to strike fear.

Being white I have not lived under police threat - I can only guess at the impact. How do we -- starting with us -- change it?

Or how folks new to the 'hood tried to shut down longstanding Black church choir practice b/c it was too loud.
