That's pretty much how the Times covered Hitler at the time. It took many years for them to move past that.
I’m beginning to wonder how this current NYT crew would have covered Hitler. “While many are suffering under the Chancellor’s strong arm tactics, others see strength in his forceful, somewhat anarchical style.”
