    Sure. Everybody who follows a few best practices has this (Reliable Rollbacks). It's not even hard, but because a few steps and practices require coding in a specific way, and because the whole package of practice is required, it's not available as a one-stop-shop solution.

    I seem to recall we had that hope when Puppet was new. That was a while ago now. At this point I wonder if it's inherently unachievable. Are there any other parts or niches in our industry that have managed this?

    Google verlangt Anwendungen und Anwendern, die auf den Kalender zugreifen wollen, jetzt OAuth2. Das ist gut, und auch kein neues Verfahren, aber viele Software war faul bei der Implementierung und jetzt ist das Geheule groß.

    Dieses Bedürfnis nach eindeutiger Schuldzuweisung in Presse und Öffentlichkeit nervt auch nur noch. Und trägt dazu bei, daß die komplexen Wahrheiten darüber, was wirklich passiert ist (aus denen man lernen könnte), öffentlich nie bekannt werden.
