I know very little about Twitter's stack and nothing about http://socialblade.com , so I don't have answers. But some plausible explanations include: 1) Twitter supposedly regularly purges accounts they deem to be robotic. These purges are done en masse. Happened to me too

2) Often, data points that are deemed "less important" aren't calculated exactly, but rather "guessed" at. Meaning, depending on how follower data is stored, it might be expensive to calculate an accurate and true number, so guessing algorithms are used. These would fluctuate
