    Every day that I get a new portrait icon from the artists is kind of exciting. I like new alien species for some reason. So far Drox 2 has 30 new portraits.

    I've been looking at backing Frosthaven's (the sequel to the awesome Gloomhaven board game) Kickstarter. The changes remind me of many of our games where the town actually matters and can be attacked.

    Interesting tidbit: in the rough draft of the marketing blurb of Drox Operative, the game was called Corvus Operative. That seems so strange now.

    I'm working on our story blurb for marketing Drox 2 today. I feel like it needs to progress the overall story from Drox 1 and IotA a little, but at the same time make sense to new potential players.

    The last couple days I've been carrying over cool features from Zombasite and Din's Legacy to Drox 2, things like hologram traps, chained traps, shared fog of war, magic find bonus from achievements, etc.

    I love all Soldak's games - they have some rough edges but they are trying to to do things virtually no one else in the biz is even thinking about. Well worth checking out (and I highly recommend Drox Operative if you want something more in the sci-fi space).

    Drox Operative is really good. You're playing space-Diablo while a bunch of AI opponents are playing Civilization on the same map. You have the power to wage single handed war for or against them. Or trade. Or help them. Or cobble them into a Federation. Or ignore them completely

    Drox 2 now has vassals, tributaries, and protectorates. Now wars can have very different outcomes. Also primitives survival rates just went up, but their independence is very much in danger.
