    Time for some quick 🚀 science! Tomorrow, a Sun-gazing instrument will spend about 6 minutes collecting data from aboard a suborbital rocket. The results will provide insight into a sliver of the Sun’s magnetic field.

    Excited about mission!! It will provide the first ever mapping of how the Sun’s magnetic field extends into interplanetary space and could potentially help us create an early warning system for solar particle storms. Congrats & team!

    NASA’s SunRISE is one step closer to launch! The mission will be ready for launch no earlier than April 2024. Consisting of six spacecraft each the size of a toaster oven, the constellation will study how solar storms produce intense radiation.

    So happy to report we had a green beacon tone from our girl today! Kicking it Helio style - new records set - number 8 in the books.

    ’s April 29 flyby of the Sun will set new records for distance from the Sun (just 6.5 million miles) and spacecraft speed (more than 330,000 mph)! 🏆 Parker performed a Venus gravity assist in February to draw its orbit closer to the Sun:
