Just basic facts : The PLO hasn't generally been considered a "terrorist organisation" since 1991. Mossad assassinated PLO chief Atef Bseiso in Paris in 1992. Post-assassination, Israel accused him of involvement in the (horrible) 1972 Olympic massacre. PLO say he wasn't involved

Mmh - do I go with what the PLO says or what Israeli Intelligence says. Given that you and I rely on Israeli intelligence on an almost daily basis - I’ll stick with Mossad.

Idk why you think Mossad's assassinations where so cool. In 'Operation Wrath of God' they blew up an innocent British student and assassinated an innocent. French waiter. The main point of course is that the PLO don't celebrate 'Black September', therefore nor did Corbyn.

It's not a secret at all. The 1972 Munich Massacre is an ugly part of the PLO past - but by 1992(let alone 2014) it is very much the past, & most nations recognise the PLO as legitimate- and Fatah as the preferred partner.

Apparently the CIA were well fed up with his assassination as he'd been one of their key assets within the PLO at the time. Still, needs must when there's a peacebuilder to undermine, eh?

https://www.washingtonpost.com/archive/politics/1992/07/10/assassination-of-plo-aide-raises-many-questions/c482bb3e-a437-474d-9835-421397ce87bf/ … this article from the time of the murder is useful. If Bsesio was guilty why didn’t Israel request extradition? He was in France meeting security officials. More likely he was murdered to send message to western intel that PLO is off limits.

This is an interesting excerpt on all this from a book by journalist Ronen Bergman. Also notes that the CIA were happy to meet with him in later years as a contact/liaison point with the PLOpic.twitter.com/4pwJaVSkev

At that time Bseiso was the biggest CIA/BfV asset within PLO. Some PLO sources suspected the Abu Nidal org behind the assassination as they considered him to be collaborating with Israel/US for the peace accords
