I have criticized @telegram's security model in the past, but @Durov's response to the Russian government's totalitarian demand for backdoor access to private communications—refusal and resistance—is the only moral response, and shows real leadership.https://themoscowtimes.com/news/telegram-founder-pledges-millions-fight-russian-political-censorship-61197 …

@SignalApp could be more secure than@Telegram for messaging, but it's a fact that#Telegram has many features more than#Signal, so, is there some#secure alternative —more— similar to Telegram?

Check out
@wire :) Supports multiple devices, and doesn't need your phone number. -
Or, if you like having a name group/channel that folks can join, and non-ephemeral chat history,
@KeybaseIO's new chat and teams functionality is quite nice! -
Thank you very much!

Is this only because Telegram doesn't provide e2ee groups!? Atleast with Telegram you aren't forced to share phone numbers & have the freedom to do things that other services don't provide. It's extremely flexible and secure. Read their FAQs, especially on how they process data!
