IDK how... :/ I thought the smartphone's mic is configured to be always on.

What a shame :(

Heard you could just plug in headphones with the mic and ears snipped off, not sure about that but seems reasonable?

I have occasionally said to Alexa: “Hey, if there’s a cute lady from domestic intelligence listening to this, and you’re picking up what I’m putting down... well, you know where I live!” XD ... and then I quickly add “lone wolf terrorism bomb sarin gas” to make sure she see it

It is the only way to be safe. I unsoldered the 3 integrated microphone of my smartphone, and his speakers. I need to plug a helmet+mic in the mini-jack to make a call with it, but at least I am safe when unplugged. Hardware approach is the only way.

Do you drape toilet seat covers over camera-flushed toilets?
-
Camera-flushed toilets...?
-
Yeah. Those motion-detector toilets in public restrooms that sense you’re standing up and automatically flush? Those are cameras. The ones in Vegas are anyway.
-
In Britain they only work if you wave your hand over them. Or lean back mid dump....
-
In the United States, they work best when you don't move for 30 seconds or lean slightly to wipe. Sometimes they work when you get off the toilet. I usually get a piece of toilet paper, wet it slightly, and put it over the sensor (not a camera btw).
-
Yeah they are. Just own it though.
