This is a ridiculous statement. While privacy and security are certainly important, they are definitely not the core value of an iPhone. People pay a premium for iPhones for their easy-to-use iOS, seamless integration with other Apple products, and great design. Not for privacy.

Just because YOU didn't consider it doesn't make it a less valid statement. Considering cellphone users password protect their phones & don't even allow their lovers & spouses to look at their cell phones freely & openly....Do you want the Trump Administration doing it?
-
I did consider it, and I greatly value my privacy. However, Snowden's comment was that privacy is the iPhone's "core value", and that is simply absurd. Very few people are buying iPhones for their privacy/security.
-
Show me your data.
-
Pun intended??
I don't have data. Snowden said "the ONLY compelling reason to buy an iPhone... was Apple's stance on privacy". My argument is that there are several other reasons why people buy iPhones. I'm really not sure how anyone could disagree with that. -
You don't have data? Your entire life is a Web of social connections resembling a virtual spiderweb...it is the same data pool visual as the Internet itself...your entire life is a digital database of your interactions w/everyone...banking, health, social, shopping..YOU are DATApic.twitter.com/s4icsK6gKQ

-
Not as cool as google pixel buds with auto translate.https://www.engadget.com/2017/10/04/google-pixel-buds-translation-change-the-world/ …
-
Sure, if you want to sit on the pixel buds until they've been updated enough times to actually work...

With respect, I think you misunderstand why nearly everybody buys mobile phones
-
The idea is that there a people who bough iPhone instead Android for that sole reason.
-
I started buying all Apple for security purposes only. I had a business partner that had a thing for me and he hacked into my entire life. He was able to penetrate all of my work computers, home computers, tablets and phones. I spent 20K in one year on all Apple products.
-
Yeah, but we don't know if you had "qwerty" for password of "Pr1$0ner0FGl1++er".

Also Android devices kinda suck. My pixel feels a lot worse than my iPhone in almost every way. Android has a lot of work to do on their user interface
-
Agreed, but one of the strongest benefits of Android platform vs. iPhone is that it's hackable & personalizable to a large degree by the average user... Whereas iPhone takes state resources to crack.
-
That I do agree with 100%. It's easy if someone figures it out for you and puts together guide but otherwise good luck. as apple software evolves this has gotten harder and harder to accomplish though. I'm a big fan of keeping things as original as possible though.
-
Try
@BBMobile I hope you will not disappoint. But Apple is also fine
