I will never forget Asma Jahangir! She was very important and influence. She strongly defended the rights of women and the rights of those killed in the 1988 killing of Iran. She was the great woman of the world. Im sorry that we lost such a great man.

She built this persona of standing up to military dictators (which she actually did in the 80’s) but long since became a legal protector of political tyrants and murderers including Altaf Hussain, Brahamdag Bughti and disqualified PM, nawaz sharif.
-
Not to mention she blocked executions of hard-core terrorists, including those who butchered 100 kids at the Peshawar army public school in 2014. If there was one thing that defined her, it was her hatred of the Pakistan army.
-
maybe because the army was responsible for all the crap
-
The army hasnt been in power for a decade, so no its not ‘responsible for all the crap’. I’m talking about Pakistan btw, go rent a map.
-
I'm the last decade Pakistan has improved. in terms of education, media, minority rights. as soon as Pakistan looses military rule...its gonna be great

@Snowden I always admired that you seemed to risk all to reveal the evils of illegal surveillance by the NSA. You became a hero to me. What do you think about the same spying of civilians by CIA and FBI? I don't think you have ever mentioned them. -
trolling level...expert

That is the ultimate compliment. Thank you.

what kind of hero she was when her whole life she sided with the ones who did corruption to fill their own pockets, she instead championed the use of drones on civilians in Fata

No doubt, she was a titan once... not of late. Seems you haven't been following Pakistani news lately(past 5 to 10 years.) I don't blame you.

When the ruling parties (both marred by corruption scandals) nominate you as the caretaker PM, it's not because of your human rights record. Once an activist, but Asma Jahangir's later years were spent protecting the corrupt elite.pic.twitter.com/0fYL2gOttQ
